Plot and Storyline

The story revolves around Ranjan Tiwari (played by Rajkummar Rao), a small-town guy trying hard to get a government job so he can marry his girlfriend Titli (Wamiqa Gabbi). But fate has other plans , Ranjan finds himself stuck in a time loop, where the same day repeats again and again.

Through this repeating cycle, Ranjan is forced to rethink his dreams, face his fears, and question what really matters , love or ambition, society or self. The film cleverly uses the time loop to deliver a heart-touching message about second chances and self-realization.

Cast Performances

Rajkummar Rao once again proves why he’s among the best. His performance as a confused yet determined Ranjan is both emotional and funny. Wamiqa Gabbi is charming as Titli , her role adds soul to the story.

The supporting cast , Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, and Raghubir Yadav , bring in natural humor and depth. Their presence adds warmth to the film and gives it a small-town realness that audiences will relate to.

Direction and Cinematic Elements

Karan Sharma does a solid job in combining science fiction with Bollywood romance. The idea of using a time loop in an Indian setup is fresh, and the direction mostly does justice to it. The movie is visually beautiful too, thanks to Sudeep Chatterjee’s cinematography which captures Varanasi’s charm.

The music by Tanishk Bagchi fits well with the film’s vibe. However, the screenplay feels weak at times , some scenes drag or feel disconnected. The execution could’ve been tighter.

Reviews and Ratings

The film received mixed reviews from critics:

  • Some praised the message and performances, calling it an “emotional yet funny” story.
  • Others felt the script was average, with a good idea but weak delivery.
  • On average, the movie got 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5 from major websites.

Still, most agreed that Rajkummar and Wamiqa’s chemistry and the new concept were the movie’s strongest points.

On social media, viewers appreciated the message of forgiveness and self-improvement. Many users called it a feel-good movie with a strong second half. The acting and Varanasi’s local vibe also got good appreciation.

Box Office Performance
